Stopping Payment

No charge is made for any service without your express agreement. To protect you against the problems that can occur from transmission errors on the Internet and from other possible technical problems that might occur, the credit card payment voucher that is generated when you download a document is not banked for at least 48 hours.

If within 48 hours after downloading your document you are not completely satisfied with it, you will not be charged for it. Send LawOnline an email message within 48 hours confirming that you don't want to use the document and you will not be charged for it.

You must also confirm that you have not and will not use the document, that you will destroy every copy that you have made of it and that you have deleted every copy that you have of the document from your computer.

To enable payment to be stopped, you will need to supply your name, email address, the type of document and the date and approximate time you downloaded it. This is necessary to properly identify your payment.

You should not refer to your credit card number. The email that you send stopping payment is not encrypted. You should only ever send your credit card number by email if the message is encrypted. All LawOnline transactions in which your credit card number appears are fully encrypted.

You should copy and paste the following message into your email message and then fill in the name, document type, date and time details.
